Our Technology Sales Graduate programme is built entirely around you. While the structure of the programme may vary slightly from one year to the next, here is an outline of what you can typically expect:
As well as equipping you with the technical product knowledge you’ll need to get started, the programme also focuses on developing your soft skills – from presenting and storytelling techniques to communicating with impact. You’ll receive regular feedback throughout your journey, helping you grow into a confident and capable sales professional.
This overview gives you a glimpse into the comprehensive training you’ll receive. While the programme is fast‑paced and challenging, it’s also incredibly rewarding. And you won’t be doing it alone – you’ll be supported every step of the way. You won’t just learn about Computacenter; you’ll learn a lot about yourself too.
At Computacenter, we celebrate difference and it’s important to us that we have a working culture where you can be free to be yourself; in an environment where you feel valued, respected, and supported to reach your full potential and experience a sense of belonging. Because we know when you thrive, we thrive.
As a proud equal opportunities employer, we’re committed to ensuring fair and equal access to opportunities for everyone. Your application is considered on its merits regardless of your age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, parenthood, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other characteristics protected by law. All that matters to us is that you share our vision and values, and you bring the experience and skills we need.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, a government scheme that helps employers attract, recruit, and retain disabled staff. We welcome applications from disabled people and accept applications in alternative formats – and guarantee to interview applicants who have a disability.
The Technology Sales Graduate Programme is designed to stretch your thinking, build your confidence and help you develop the skills that matter most — both professionally and personally.
Known internally as our Sales Associate Programme, it's a well‑established and respected early careers programme in technology sales, with many colleagues starting their careers through the programme and progressing into a range of sales roles across the business.
Our selection process is designed to help us get to know you beyond your application. It's also an opportunity for you to learn more about Computacenter, our culture and what a career in technology sales could look like. Throughout the process, you'll meet colleagues from across the business, gain insight into the work we do and have the chance to demonstrate your strengths, potential and motivation.
Once you join, you'll become part of a global community of Sales Associates beginning their careers across the UK, Europe and the US.
Stage 1- Online Application
30 minutes
Just fill out our online application form, upload your CV, and answer a few quick questions to help us get to know you. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll take a look and see how your skills and interests match up with what we’re looking for. If everything lines up and you meet the programme criteria, we’ll invite you to the next stages.
Stage 2 - Telephone screening call
10-15 minutes
You’ll be invited to book a short 10–15 minute call with one of our recruiters. We'll talk about your interest in the programme, and you’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the role, the selection process or what to expect next. Following the call, we'll review your application and, if there's a good match, invite you to progress to the next stage of the process.
Stage 3 - Online assessment
35-45 minutes
You’ll be invited to complete an online assessment designed to help us understand your potential and how you approach different situations. You'll have seven days to complete it and it should take around 35-45 minutes. The assessment includes a short case study and a series of questions that allow you to demonstrate your problem‑solving, communication and decision‑making skills.
Stage 4 - Video assessment
15-30 minutes
If you meet the benchmark for the online assessment, you'll be invited to complete a short video interview. You'll have 7 days to complete the assessment and answer 1-3 questions, with up to 1 minute for each response.
The assessment can be completed on your phone, tablet or laptop, and you'll have unlimited attempts before submitting. Once submitted, we'll review your responses and let you know whether you've progressed to the next stage.
Stage 5 - Face-to-face interview
60 minutes
Held at our newly refurbished Blackfriars office in London, this is an opportunity to meet one of our senior sales leaders and a programme alumnus who was once in your position. You'll also get a feel for our working environment and see where you could be based.
The interview will focus on your skills, experience, motivation and potential, including any sales or customer‑facing experience you've gained and your interest in a career in technology sales. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about us and the Technology Sales Graduate Programme.
Stage 6 - Assessment centre
2 days
The final stage of the selection process takes place at Computacenter's UK and Group Headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
After an overnight stay and dinner with senior leaders, you'll take part in group exercises, interviews and presentations designed to showcase your strengths and potential. You'll be assessed by experienced members of our sales team and we'll let you know the outcome as soon as possible afterwards.
