Job summary

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership in Leeds is seeking a Technology Risk Officer to oversee risk across the IT estate, ensuring adherence to information security, operational resilience and outsourcing requirements. You will coordinate audits and report on risk to senior technology leadership, strengthening controls with service providers.

The role requires strong risk and governance experience, with a track record in producing risk documentation and management information for committees.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of technology and infrastructure risk including information security, cloud, third party and resilience.
• Familiarity with FCA, ISO27001, outsourcing and operational resilience audit expectations and evidencing compliance.
• Clear grasp of the three lines of defence across first line delivery and second line oversight.
• Experience in technology risk, information security, ICT governance, audit or assurance in demanding environments.
• Track record of assessing technology controls and remediation through to closure.
• Experience producing risk reporting, MI or committee-level documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technology risk oversight across IT infrastructure, supporting risk identification, mitigation and control effectiveness.
• Act as bridge to second-line risk, compliance and assurance, ensuring technology risks are documented, challenged and reported.
• Evidence adherence to information security, operational resilience and outsourcing requirements, including FCA and ISO27001 expectations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, from control design evidence to remediation tracking and management responses.
• Assess and report on technology and infrastructure risk across third party, cloud and service resilience.
