Job summary

BBC Group and Public Services Salford Dock House is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Technology to lead a portfolio of transformative technology projects. You will oversee a team of project managers, align work with the charity's technology strategy, and ensure delivery quality and outcomes.

You will own governance, budgets, and benefits realisation while collaborating with senior leadership to support fundraising, grantmaking and operational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading delivery of multiple technology initiatives from roadmap to live operation and benefits realisation.
• Strong people leadership with experience building diverse, high-performing teams.
• Experience shaping priorities with senior stakeholders in complex environments.
• Broad tech knowledge with hands-on involvement in solution design and delivery.
• Experience delivering governance, budget, and resourcing within a delivery framework.
• Experience delivering technology in charity, public sector, or regulated environments.
• Experience across CRM, finance, fundraising, grant management, eCommerce, or data integration.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the BBC Children in Need Technology Roadmap with a sequenced portfolio.
• Provide inclusive leadership to a multidisciplinary delivery team and manage performance.
• Lead end-to-end delivery governance across the portfolio.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to shape priorities and manage constraints.
• Plan and manage delivery resourcing including contractors and suppliers.
• Own delivery budgets and business cases and realise benefits post go-live.
• Identify and resolve delivery risks and report progress, issues and outcomes.
