Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Technology Change Risk Consultant to join our innovative team in either Edinburgh or Alderley Park. About the Role:

This is a newly created role within the growing Technology and Security Risk Team of Group Risk and Compliance (2nd Line of Defence). As a Technology Change Risk Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation. Your expertise in Technology Change and Systems Development Risk will be crucial as you:

  1. Advise the Board and senior management on strategic planning and decision-making.
  2. Independently oversee and challenge the Group’s strategic and business risk profiles.
  3. Provide formal independent opinions on significant risks.
  4. Monitor and report on Group-wide risk exposures, ensuring the 1st Line of Defence effectively implements the risk management framework.
  5. Conduct risk-based independent assurance reviews and informative advisory reviews.
  6. Facilitate risk management activities across the Group.
  7. Promote a strong risk culture through communications, education, and training.
  8. Oversee the resolution of service and technology incidents.
About You:

We seek someone who is passionate about making a difference and possesses:

  • A deep understanding of technology risk management practices.
  • Experience with IT governance frameworks.
  • Certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CGEIT, CISM, Prince2, or ITIL.
  • Skills in systems development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, Hybrid, or Waterfall.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently within a highly effective team.
