Job description

Technology Adoption & Skills TrainerManchester | £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Are you passionate about technology and enjoy helping people get more from the systems and tools available to them?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading professional services organisation in Manchester that is investing heavily in technology, digital learning and the adoption of AI across its business. As part of this continued investment, they are looking for a Technology Adoption & Skills Trainer to join their established technology learning team.

The Role

Working as part of the Technology Learning and Adoption team, you will help employees build their confidence and capability across Microsoft 365, AI tools and other business and legal technology.

Rather than simply showing users which buttons to press, the focus is on helping people understand how technology can make their working lives easier and more productive.

You will deliver training to individuals and groups, both face-to-face and virtually, while also creating engaging learning resources and supporting the introduction of new technology across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging technology training for new starters, existing employees and teams across the business.
  • Providing practical training and guidance around Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, generative AI and other workplace technology.
  • Helping users understand how AI can be used effectively, securely and responsibly within a professional environment.
  • Supporting the rollout and adoption of new applications, systems and technology initiatives.
  • Working with different departments to understand how technology is being used and identify opportunities for further training and adoption.
  • Creating easy-to-follow learning materials including user guides, videos, e-learning content, demonstrations, exercises and AI prompt examples.
  • Providing one-to-one coaching and support for users who require additional assistance.
  • Supporting technology pilots and new software releases, gathering feedback from users and helping identify any barriers to adoption.
  • Producing regular technology tips and communications designed to encourage greater use of available tools.
  • Maintaining training records and helping administer the organisation's Learning Management System.
  • Keeping up to date with developments across Microsoft 365, Copilot, generative AI and digital learning.
What We're Looking For

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have experience in technology training, IT training, digital adoption, learning and development or technology-focused user support.

You should be a confident communicator who can take potentially complicated technology and explain it in a straightforward, practical and engaging way to people with very different levels of technical ability.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience delivering technology or systems training.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge or practical experience of Microsoft Copilot - this would be a major advantage.
  • An understanding of generative AI and how it can be used safely and effectively in the workplace.
  • Experience creating training materials, guides, e-learning content or instructional videos.
  • Confidence delivering both classroom and virtual training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive and approachable personality with a genuine interest in helping people embrace technology.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple training activities and priorities.
  • Experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment would be particularly useful, although candidates from other sectors with strong technology training and adoption experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Exposure to legal technology such as iManage, Intapp, Proclaim, BundleDocs, DocuSign or Adobe Acrobat Pro would also be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Microsoft, Copilot, training or digital adoption certifications would be welcomed, although practical experience and the ability to engage with users are equally important.
The Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join an organisation that is actively investing in AI, Microsoft Copilot and the wider adoption of technology.

You’ll have the opportunity to play a hands-on role in helping employees understand and embrace emerging technologies while developing your own expertise in AI adoption and digital learning.

The position is primarily based from the organisation's Manchester city centre office, with occasional travel to other UK offices, including London and Liverpool.

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

If you're an experienced technology trainer who enjoys working with people and you're excited by the potential of Microsoft Copilot, AI and modern workplace technology, we'd be very interested in hearing from you.
