The Assessor for Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Valuation List (all dwellings in Ayrshire liable for Council Tax) and the Valuation Roll (all non-domestic properties in Ayrshire liable for business rates).

Who We Are and What We Do
Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board has been established since 1996 and jointly discharges the functions of North, South, and East Ayrshire Valuation authorities.
The Board is a council in its own right, separate from the three Ayrshire Councils, comprising 16 members, elected councillors from each authority. The Board appoints the Assessor, responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll and List, which are essential for collecting non-domestic rates and council tax.
The three Councils also appoint the Assessor as the Electoral Registration Officer, responsible for maintaining the Register of Electors for Parliamentary and Local Government Elections.
The grade of this post is from Level 6 to Level 7, depending on qualifications and experience.
The work style for this post is Hybrid.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly between home and the office, with attendance frequency varying based on service needs.
