Technician- Design and Technology

37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Grade 4 Point 7-12

£26,403 to £28,598 pro rata (£22,709 to £24,597 actual)

We have a vacancy for a versatile, skilful and dedicatedDesign and Technology Technician to provide high-quality support to a large,dynamic and successful team of teachers.

The successful candidate will have:

The Design andTechnology Technician provides support to students and teaching staff withreference to the use of a range of machinery, equipment and processes familiarin Design Technology Departments such as laser cutters, 3D printers, lathes,sewing machines. They should have knowledge of resistant materials includingthe use of wood, metal and plastic alongside the use of electronic testingequipment. Duties including the setting up, use and maintenance of equipmentand machinery. The technician will be able to provide materials for lessons,assist with technical demonstrations, have excellent ICT and CAD/CAM knowledgeand be skilled at managing resources within the budget and have oversight ofhealth and safety procedures within the department.
