Job summary

The Manchester College is seeking a Technician (Animal Care) to join the Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department on a permanent, part-time basis (23 hours per week) at the Wythenshawe Campus in Manchester. The role focuses on animal welfare and assisting in delivering the Animal Management curriculum, with weekend care duties as part of ongoing welfare needs.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Wythenshawe Campus to join our Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department as a Technician (Animal Care) on a permanent, part-time basis (23 hours per week).

This role is centred around animal welfare and husbandry, ensuring high standards of care for a range of animals while supporting the delivery of the Animal Management curriculum. The successful candidate will work closely with curriculum staff, assisting teachers in the delivery of academic qualifications and helping to provide an outstanding learning experience for students. Weekend working is a key requirement of this role as part of the ongoing care and welfare needs of the animals.
