Job summary

Waterman Aspen is seeking Highway Engineers to join the North East team on major UK infrastructure projects on a secondment basis. You will apply Civil 3D, AutoCAD and BIM know-how to deliver high-quality drawings and support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD with experience producing and modifying drawings to a high standard.
• Experience preparing technical drawings, plans and schedules for civil projects.
• Knowledge of design and construction principles in highways, bridges and related works.
• Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW, Eurocodes or British Standards and industry procedures.
• Professional qualification or membership (EngTech) or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Produce and modify engineering drawings to a high standard.
• Prepare technical drawings, plans, details, schedules and documentation.
• Support project delivery through drawing coordination and document control.
• Contribute to design programmes and ensure compliance with standards.

• Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications such as DMRB, MCHW, Eurocodes or British Standards.
• Professional qualification or membership of a relevant institution, or working towards a recognised qualification (i.e., EngTech).
• Experience in supporting project delivery through drawing coordination, document control and design programme management.
