Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is seeking a capable installation and delivery technician to handle high value medical devices across the UK and Europe. You will run cables, install and align system covers, and liaise with project coordinators to prepare jobs on site.

The role requires manual handling, flexible hours and regular away-from-home stays; you will work with client project teams, manage paperwork, and support the Tech Centre when workload fluctuates.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt to client site requirements.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical installations.
• Licensed driver with a full clean licence.
• Flexibility to work long hours and stay away from home regularly.
• Willingness to perform weekend overtime when required.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel for admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and position high-value medical devices (CTs, MRIs, X-ray systems).
• Run cables and make final connections; install and align system covers.
• Liaise with project coordinators and client project teams on site.
• Coordinate with third parties on-site (e.g., crane lifting).
• Perform general driving, loading/unloading, and on-site documentation.

Job Description

What you can expect

Main Activities:

• Deliver & positioning of high value medical devices such as CTs, MRIs, X Ray systems
• Run system cables and make final connections
• Install & align system covers
• Liaise with project coordinators on job preparation.
• Work closely with client project teams on site to ensure smooth project completion.
• Coordinate with third parties on site e.g. crane lifting,
• General driving / delivery duties as required within the UK and Europe
• Loading and unloading of vehicles
• Delivery, offloading and positioning as required
• Manual handling, carrying, and lifting of customer equipment.
• Use of specialist handling equipment to ensure safe delivery.
• Completing delivery paperwork, timesheets and other paperwork as required for each job.
• Assisting with Tech Centre duties as and when workload demands
• Preparation of Demo equipment – C Arms, Incubators.
• Undertaking Break Fix & Service and Maintenance jobs – nonmedical
• Other Tasks as required.

What you bring

Key Skills And Experience

• An aptitude and willingness to learn
• Experience of mechanical or electrical installations
• Experienced driver with full clean licence
• Must be very flexible with regards to hours and be prepared to stay away from home on a regular basis
• Must be prepared to work up to 2 weekends per month – overtime paid
• Ability to complete required timesheets and paperwork as needed
• General knowledge of Microsoft word & excel programs
• Experience in dealing directly with customers contacts and good communication skills
• Good team member with a flexible & Can-do attitude who can also work on own initiative
• Good general level of education.
