Job summary

The Talent Division is seeking a Technical Specification Coordinator in Ipswich to join a market-leading manufacturer. You will review specifications, analyze survey reports, and ensure waterproofing systems meet project requirements.

You will read architectural drawings, provide technical support, and deliver accurate calculations and drawings. You should bring strong knowledge of roof waterproofing, experience in relevant technical environments, and excellent communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.
• Technically capable with a logical, analytical approach.

• CAD experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Technical Specification Coordinator

Full Time Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, hybrid after probation

The Opportunity

We're delighted to be supporting a highly respected, market-leading manufacturer in their search for a Technical Specification Coordinator to join their specialist Technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional with a strong understanding of roof waterproofing systems and their construction to join a successful, people-focused organisation.

Working within the Technical department, you'll play an important role in reviewing specifications, analysing survey reports, checking technical proposals and ensuring waterproofing systems are suitable, accurate and compliant with project requirements.

You'll work closely with clients and internal teams, providing technical support and advice while using your knowledge of roofing systems, construction and architectural drawings to identify issues and ensure the right technical solutions are delivered.

This is a role where precision, accuracy and attention to detail really matter, but so do communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of roof waterproofing systems and their construction
• Previous experience within a roofing, waterproofing, construction or related technical environment
• The ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings
• Technically capable and/or qualified, with a logical and analytical approach
• Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and precision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A personable, approachable and professional manner
• The ability to work independently while also being a proactive and supportive team player
• CAD experience would be advantageous, but is by no means essential
• Good general computer literacy
• A proactive, motivated and flexible approach
