A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Technical Writer for a 6-month contract based in London. This hybrid role requires working onsite 3 days a week. You will produce high-quality technical documents throughout the software development life cycle and guide the team on business requirements and application architectures. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in technical writing and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Flexibility in technical environments such as C# and SQL is desirable.

Overview

My Financial Services client is seeking a Technical Writer on an initial 6 month contract based in London. It is hybrid and will require 3x days onsite per week.

You will be responsible for producing technical documents for applications developed by the development team, guiding the team in understanding business requirements, application architectures, UI design concepts, business data, legal requirements and internal procedures by working closely with programmers and management.

This role covers documents across the software development life cycle, including business specifications, technical specifications, system details, database object (table) descriptions, test support manuals, system operation manuals, system maintenance details, system support history records, knowledge base, and internal procedure manuals.

Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality technical documents for applications developed by the development team.
  • Guide the team in understanding business requirements, application architectures, UI design concepts, business data, legal requirements, and internal procedures.
