A leading company in the logistics sector is seeking an Operations Technician for demo equipment management. The role involves preparing, testing, and maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting customer engineers. This position requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Main Activities
• Preparing demonstration equipment to OEM specifications, including visual checks, function tests, cleaning, and wrapping returning demo systems. Typical systems include C-Arms and Ultrasounds.
• Demonstrating a high level of accuracy in updating systems and records, including reusable Catalogue (FM) and DEMS.
• Reporting any defects or missing items to the Operations team and following escalation processes for performance issues, updating tracker reports.
• Liaising with the dedicated coordination team to ensure smooth call flow for all demo operations.
• Escalating service and performance issues to the Team Lead/Management when applicable.
• Recording and maintaining equipment test result sheets.
• Creating BOM (Bill of Materials) for new demo systems.
• Carrying out Pre-Delivery Checks on new systems as per customer requirements.
• Installing optional items to new systems as necessary.
• Assisting visiting customer engineers.
• Arranging calibration of test equipment.
• Completing engineering timesheets against systems/job references (FM).
• Managing customer tool kits, including ordering consumables and replacement tools from suppliers.
• Providing safety data sheets to the Health and Safety manager for chemical products.
• Keeping the demo workshop area clean, tidy, and organized.
• Managing and updating equipment details/configurations using FM and DEMS systems.
• Performing stock checks and working with auditors to verify locations.
• Undertaking Radiation Protection Supervisor responsibilities, including obtaining qualification (training provided).
• Maintaining and enforcing Radiation Procedures, including X-ray badge reports and processing.
• Adhering to the company’s Health & Safety policy at all times.
• Maintaining standards as defined in ISO9001 and ISO14001.
• Being flexible to undertake other duties as needed and working at other Rhenus sites if required.
