Job summary

University for the Creative Arts at Maidstone Studios seeks a full‑time Technical Tutor in TV Production to support Film, TV and Media courses. You will deliver structured technical tuition, covering camera operation, lighting, sound recording, editing workflows and safe studio practice.

You will manage and maintain equipment, organise student bookings, undertake minor repairs and source replacement parts. You will supervise specialist areas, provide frontline IT support and contribute to studio

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured technical tuition in TV production aligning with course learning outcomes.

• Undertake minor repairs and source replacement parts; ensure security and supervision of specialist areas.
• Induct students into safe working practices; liaise with Maidstone Studios resource team; provide frontline IT support with central IT.
• Contribute to studio productions, open days, external visits and the development of technical learning materials.

We are seeking a full time Technical Tutor in TV Production to support our Film, TV and Media courses at Maidstone Studios. You will deliver structured technical tuition that aligns with course learning outcomes, teaching production and post‑production skills including camera operation, lighting, sound recording, editing workflows and safe studio practice.

The role involves managing and maintaining a wide range of production equipment, organising student bookings, undertaking minor repairs, sourcing replacement parts, and ensuring the security and supervision of specialist areas. You will support industry standard software including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Pro Tools and Logic, and maintain resource visibility through online booking system (SmartHub)

You will induct students into safe working practices, liaise with Maidstone Studios resource team, and provide frontline IT support in collaboration with the central IT department. The post also contributes to studio productions, open days, external visits, and the development of technical learning materials.
