We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Training Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing competency-based training to support certification of FLSmidth personnel through assessments. You will research, develop, and produce technical training content and support material for training program participants and facilitators.
Job Responsibilities
- Work effectively with relevant internal teams and subject matter experts to source documentation and build training content to meet customer requirements.
- Research, develop, and write instructions for new, specialised, or complex equipment manufactured by FLSmidth.
- Advise and develop Training Needs Analyses and Units of Competence for machinery and software to support ongoing certification programs within Australia.
- Develop modular training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, assessments, and participant handbooks.
- Select appropriate delivery methods, such as case studies, to suit participant needs and reinforce learning.
- Follow formal training and assessment processes adhering to industry best practices.
- Arrange and coordinate seminars and webinars across Australia.
- Travel to FLSmidth centres and customer sites within Australia for on-site and internal training delivery.
- Comply with legislative, company, and customer COVID-19 travel and vaccination requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Active commitment to safety practices.
- Five or more years of proven experience in relevant disciplines.
- Experience in delivering classroom and web-based training.
- Experience developing online training media is advantageous.
- Formal qualification in Training and Assessment (Certificate IV or higher) or ability to obtain it.
- Competence in researching and developing technical training content using industry standards.
- Ability to research, develop, deliver, and assess training programs.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing environments.
- Technical writing skills with mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
