Job summary

McCain Foods in the UK seeks a self-motivated Technical Trainer to lead mandatory training, inductions and annual refreshers at the Wombourne site. You will support standard work development and self-paced learning, travelling occasionally to other plants with expenses covered.

You’ll partner with plant management to ensure training accountabilities, compliance requirements, and learning standards are met, delivering onboarding and ongoing training across the region.

Qualifications

• Technical training qualification required.
• Certified trainer status preferred.
• Familiarity with SWMs and SOPs essential.
• Facilitation and design of training programs needed.
• Experience with production processes desirable.
• Ability to measure training outcomes effectively.
• Ability to manage own workload and priorities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onboarding and annual refresher training across the site.
• Lead mandatory and compliance training with SMEs as needed.
• Develop and improve training materials and delivery methods regionally.
• Evaluate training effectiveness against objectives and improve where needed.
• Support audits with accurate training records and documentation.
• Assist in SOP development and standard work verification.
• Build capability of team leaders and supervisors to deliver training.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate self-paced/online learning.
• Contribute to training projects with timely insights.
• Maintain up-to-date technical training knowledge and capabilities.
• Travel to UK sites as required, with expenses covered.
