Job summary

SmartSourcing Ltd is seeking a Technical Team Leader for DV-cleared security installations in Milton Keynes. You will lead installation teams and deliver CCTV, access control and public address systems, with UK and overseas deployment.

The role requires travel and site leadership across secure environments. Start window: Dec/Jan/Feb. Duration: 12 months. On-site work five days a week at the client site with a daily rate.

Qualifications

• DV clearance required for working in security environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

Technical Team Leader (CCTV, Access control, Security systems) - DV Cleared is required by our Government client based Milton Keynes. Commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Luton, North London.Working 5 days onsite.

Working in an DV Security Cleared environment. (Developed Vetting) Clearance required

Rate £465 pd UMBRELLA

You must be willing and capable of regular travel, including internationally - this could be up to 6-8 weeks at a time. For the duration, although the client base is Near Milton Keynes.

To provide installation team leadership and technical expertise in the UK, for preparation work and at overseas locations for on site delivery of technical security systems and other construction phase work. Expertise required in a range of systems including CCTV, Access Control, Public Address.

You will need to be familiar with systems from Hanwha, Ipro, Hirsch/Identiv, ASL/Zenitel, Bosch (Presidio). Should also be proficient in installing metallic and PVC containment systems, premises cabling and infrastructure.

Responsibilities include

• reviewing design information,
• completing material take-offs,
• supporting the ordering of equipment,
• testing systems prior to deployment,
• preparing equipment and tools for dispatch,
• task management of installation engineers.,
• Producing HS documentation
• Delivery planning
• Liaison with staff at delivery site
• Management of activities on site
• Leading on installation work using considerable expertise in one or more of access control, CCTV, public address, data cabling and infrastructure, all in secure environments.
• Training and development of staff on installation work to deliver to a high standard through knowledge transfer and on the tools' skills development.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.

Demonstrable skills and experience in installing one or more of the following to a high standard in secure environments to government security standards:

• Automated access control
• CCTV
• Public address systems
• Data cabling and infrastructure to government security standards and classifications
• Understanding of electrical testing and requirements
• Level 3 qualification in an electrical or electronic field compiling a minimum of 6-12 relevant units in the electrotechnical cadre
• SMSTS or equivalent HS qualification
