Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Technical Surveyor to join our growing construction client in Middlesbrough. You will survey projects, translate measurements into technical designs and coordinate drawings with the draughtsman.

You will produce system layouts, manage materials schedules, and handle procurement while traveling to sites across the UK. This role suits a hands-on surveyor with multi-project management experience and the drive to progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal roofing, cladding or similar construction sectors.

Are you a Technical Surveyor with experience in metal roofing or cladding looking to join a well-established and growing construction business where you will play a key role in surveying projects, coordinating technical drawings and managing materials procurement, with great opportunities for progression?

This role would suit a Technical Surveyor or similar with experience in metal roofing, cladding or the wider construction envelope sector and the ability to manage multiple projects, who is looking for a varied, hands‑on role with opportunities for training and progression.

In this role, the successful candidate will carry out detailed roof surveys, translate measurements into technical designs, coordinate construction drawings with the Draughtsman, prepare materials schedules, obtain supplier quotations and manage orders to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to sites
