Job Description:

A top-performing global investment firm is seeking a IT Engineer to join its dynamic IT team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technology that underpins a fast-paced trading environment, working directly with end-users and collaborating with talented engineers.

In this role, you’ll provide first-line technical support, manage desktop hardware, and troubleshoot networking issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of the firm’s systems. You’ll work across both Microsoft and Linux platforms, gaining exposure to scripting with PowerShell or Python and developing solutions that enhance the efficiency of the trading floor.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on hardware experience and fundamental knowledge of IP networking, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be eager to expand your technical knowledge and skillset.

Beneficial skills include experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange, scripting languages, ticketing systems (such as JIRA and Confluence), and imaging solutions (WDS/SCCM). Exposure to the financial trading sector or experience supporting high-pressure environments would be an advantage.
