PayTech is expanding its TechOps team and seeks a Junior Engineer to keep cameras, kiosks, edge devices and 4G running across multiple car parks. You’ll diagnose faults remotely, monitor system health, and assist with hardware provisioning for new sites.
We offer a broad, hands-on role across networking, IoT and cloud systems, with coaching from experienced engineers on a growing estate.
Our client was named PayTech Company of the Year and one of Deloitte's 50 fastest growing tech companies in the UK, they're now expanding their estate across the country, and they're looking for a Junior Engineer to join the TechOps team keeping it all running.
Every site runs on cameras, payment kiosks, edge devices and 4G connectivity, and all of it has to work around the clock. When a camera drops offline, a kiosk misbehaves or a site stops reporting data, you'll be part of the team working out why and putting it right, usually remotely.
A genuinely broad skillset in one role: networking, IoT devices, monitoring, APIs, databases and cloud systems, all on a live estate where your work has visible impact the same day. You'll be coached and supported as you grow, with clear standards and experienced engineers around you.
This is a junior role, and fundamentals, honesty and appetite to learn matter more than years on a CV.
Not corporate IT support (the users of these systems are cameras and cars), not narrow (you'll touch hardware, networking, software and data in the same week), and not a dead end (the team and the estate are both growing, with a clear path into more senior TechOps work).
