Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is a leading facilities management provider with 50,000+ colleagues and a turnover above £2bn. We are seeking a qualified electrical maintenance technician to perform PPM, reactive works and site servicing on projects in Nottingham.

The role requires City & Guilds/AM2, 18th Edition, CSCS and a strong commitment to safety and quality in a demanding environment. A valid UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical installation qualifications and hands-on electrical maintenance competencies.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices.
• CSCS-registered and eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames.
• Carry out electrical servicing, repairs and installations on site.
• Provide a technical electrical service with minimal supervision to clients.
• Support multi-trade tasks including minor repairs and building fabric maintenance.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and contribute to refurbishment projects.

Job description

About The Role

• To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
• To carry out plumbing duties on sites as and when required.
• To provide a technical engineering service with the minimum of supervision to the OCS client in respect of mechanical servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation.
• To undertake the service and maintenance of other assets/trades that were deemed competent to do so.
• To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• To have basic knowledge of multi-disciplined trades
• Provide support to other in-house trades or complete other trade tasks, where deemed competent including minor plumbing repairs, tilling, painting and decorating and wet trades.
• Support the project team's refurbishment works
• Support site engineer in undertaking maintenance works including legionella checks and building fabric maintenance.
• Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and OCS QSHE policy.

Key Hiring Criteria

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• Previous experience working within Facilities Management.
• Ability to use electronic handheld devices.
• Full clean driving licence.

Essential Qualifications

• A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
• The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18 th Edition)
• Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

• An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations

Working pattern

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working on a rotating shift pattern between 7:00am and 7:00pm:

• 7:00am–3:30pm
• 8:00am–4:30pm
• 10:30am–7:00pm
