Job summary

Wates is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to ensure safe, compliant operation of building services across a prestigious London portfolio. You will lead hard-services delivery, drive PPM and reactive maintenance, and maintain compliance while guiding contractors and service partners.

You will build strong relationships with residents, JLL, and stakeholders, monitor plant performance, support budgets, and resolve technical issues with minimal resident disruption. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Facilities Management or Building Services environments.
• Experience managing high-end residential, commercial, or prestigious client portfolios.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and statutory regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of hard services across a portfolio of luxury residential properties.

• Manage specialist contractors and service partners, ensuring performance against service levels.

• Monitor plant and equipment performance, implementing improvements where required.
• Support budget management and cost control initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
• Produce reports, compliance records, and performance updates for client review.

• Significant experience within Facilities Management or Building Services environments.
• Strong technical knowledge across M&E services.
• Experience managing high-end residential, commercial, or prestigious client portfolios.
• A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service within demanding environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance standards are met.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and statutory regulations.
• Relevant technical qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services disciplines would be highly advantageous.
