Job description

As a Technical Services Area Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional technical services within your designated region. Leading a team of skilled professionals, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that service quality is upheld, client expectations are consistently exceeded, and operational goals are met. This role is perfect for a leader with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering customer-centric solutions.

In this remote working position, you will oversee all technical services for Domino customers, ensuring the right resources are available to maintain a first-class service at all times. You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response time, first-time fix rate, and first-time installation are achieved. You will also leverage data to produce detailed reports on service performance, client satisfaction, and operational progress, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the delivery of technical services, ensuring the highest quality service for our customers
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their technical needs are met
  3. Address complex technical challenges and provide innovative, timely solutions, managing escalations when necessary
  4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements across all operations
  5. Utilize data to track performance metrics, generate reports, and drive continuous service improvements

About You

We are looking for a dynamic and motivational leader to join our team, who will inspire collaboration and drive high performance through effective line management. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing multi-skilled, field-based service teams and a strong background in both incremental and transformational change management.

A solid engineering and technical commercial background is essential, along with experience in technical service management. A degree or equivalent experience in engineering or business is preferred, and a management qualification (e.g., CMI or ILM) is desirable. This role also involves budgetary responsibility and requires a strong ability to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders.
