Job summary

Almac Group is seeking a Technical Service Team Leader at the Charnwood site in Loughborough. You will manage Software Developers across grades, define technical strategy and ensure on-time delivery within the Clinical Technologies unit.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work in the UK with no restrictions.
  • Proven software development in MS SQL, ASP.NET MVC and C#.
  • Experience in SDLC in a regulated environment may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Act as line manager for Software Developers (1,2,3 & 4).
  • Define technical strategy and processes for system development.
  • Provide technical support and drive process improvements; ensure deliverables meet SOPs and Work Instructions.

Location: Charnwood site, Loughborough

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday with core hours 10:00-16:00

The Opportunity

As a Technical Services Leader, you will act as the line manager for a group of Software Developers (1,2,3 & 4), with primary responsibility for ensuring that all project deliverable timelines are met, defining the technical strategy and processes from which systems will be developed, providing technical support to staff, facilitating the implementation of process and/or efficiency improvements, and ensuring that all system deliverables are completed in accordance with company SOPs and departmental Work Instructions

What you need to be successful

Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK with no restrictions OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK.

  • Third level qualification in Computer Science or related subject or significant relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience or understanding of developing applications using MS SQL, ASP.net MVC and C#
  • (The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Exposure to documentation/process associated with SDLC in a regulated environment.
  • Familiar with various transmission methods (Web Services, FTP, FTPs, SSH, and AS2).
