Job summary

SRG are recruiting a Technical Service Chemist for their Cheshire East site on a permanent basis. The role requires a degree in Chemistry or Materials Science and hands-on experience in laboratory testing, technical service, QC or R&D.

You will coordinate technical service activities, support product development, run tests, analyse data and communicate findings to customers and internal teams, while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science or related field.
• Industrial laboratory testing experience in technical service/QA/R&D.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and coordinate technical service requests to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Support customer requirements and short-term product development activities.
• Conduct laboratory testing safely, accurately and in line with agreed procedures and standards.
• Ensure testing data is recorded, analysed and communicated effectively.
• Coordinate and support production and customer trials when required.
• Work closely with technical teams and wider stakeholders to align priorities and resources.
• Support investigations into quality issues, customer enquiries and product performance concerns.
• Assist with technical reports and recommendations based on laboratory findings.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all H&S, compliance and training standards are met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across technical and laboratory activities.
