Job summary

SRG are recruiting a Technical Service Chemist for a permanent role in Cheshire East with a leading materials manufacturer.

The role coordinates technical service, laboratory testing and customer-focused projects. A degree in Chemistry or Materials Science and industrial lab experience in QC/R&D are required; coatings/adhesives experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Materials Science (or related)
• Proven industrial experience in laboratory testing, technical service, quality control or R&D
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and coordinate technical service requests to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
• Support customer requirements and short-term product development activities
• Conduct laboratory testing safely, accurately and in line with procedures and standards
• Ensure testing data is recorded, analysed and communicated effectively
• Coordinate and support production and customer trials when required
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to align priorities and resources
• Support investigations into quality issues, customer enquiries and product performance concerns
• Assist with technical reports and recommendations based on laboratory findings
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure H&S, compliance and training standards are met
• Contribute to continuous improvement across technical and laboratory activities
