Job summary

Forward Role Recruitment is helping a long-established, family-run B2C business to hire a Technical SEO Executive for a 6-month FTC in Northwich. The role is hybrid with 2 days in the office, and offers a salary of up to £40k plus benefits.

You will own site health, performance, and technical optimisation, collaborating with SEO, content and dev teams to drive technical improvements. You'll bring 2+ years of SEO experience, strong WordPress/Elementor skills, HTML/CSS/PHP coding, and hands-on

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in SEO, ideally with a technical or hybrid background.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress (Elementor) and confidence editing code (HTML, CSS, PHP).
• You understand Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, crawl budgets, and site architecture inside out.
• Experience using SEMrush, GA4, and GSC.
• Bonus points if you've explored LLM optimisation, structured data, or JavaScript SEO.
• Analytical by nature, with a curious mind and a “find and fix” mentality.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical health of multiple websites — ensuring every page is crawlable, indexable, and lightning fast.
• Conduct regular site audits across crawl, speed, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement structured data (Schema) to enhance visibility and LLM discoverability.
• Manage sitemaps, redirects, robots.txt, and canonical tags with confidence.
• Collaborate on new pages and features, working closely with SEO, content, and dev teams.
• Monitor performance through GA4, SEMrush, and Search Console, spotting trends before anyone else.
• Help shape the content strategy through technical insights and keyword analysis.
• Stay ahead of the curve on AI and entity-based search — a key focus for the business in 2025.
