Position: Technical Security Specialist

Locations: Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Halifax, Edinburgh

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess systems against internal security frameworks and baseline build requirements.
  • Use DevOps tools to automate security review and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Security Engineers to promote reuse of security artifacts.
  • Configure policies on Cloud Security portals.
  • Understand the impact of technology roadmap changes on security artifacts.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Cyber Security Services, including procedures, processes, and documentation.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, including:

  • Self-sufficient, eager to learn and deliver.
  • Outcome-focused, with attention to detail.
  • Broad understanding of Cyber Security and Cloud Security (GCP, Azure).
  • Hands-on technical experience and ability to read code.
  • Developer experience is advantageous.
  • Champion a secure-by-design approach throughout the lifecycle.
  • Passionate about automating repetitive tasks.
  • Familiar with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes technologies.
