We need someone with a Microsoft tech-stack background who has experience as an Azure DevSecOps Consultant or a strong Unix / Linux Systems Administrator. We want someone with a development / coding background who has transitioned into Software Security / Cloud Security engineering. Strong Azure skills are essential; AWS experience is not required but a blend would be acceptable.

We prefer candidates from a development background rather than standard IT operations, with a solid understanding of software development. You will be working closely with developers, so the ability to communicate effectively and build trust is crucial.

This role was successfully introduced into this company two years ago, and they now need someone to continue developing this function. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, so strong communication skills are necessary. There are opportunities for personal and team growth as the company matures. This is a hands-on lead role, ideal for someone with consultancy experience and practical skills.

A passion for modern security approaches is vital, focusing on integrating security into daily workflows, automating processes, and shifting security left without compromising quality or security.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator, Software Developer, or both
• Expertise in Cloud Security
• Passion for DevSecOps with knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, Sonar Cloud, Wiz, and security tools like Trivy
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
• Ability to perform Rapid Risk Assessment and Threat Modeling
• Technical skills in Azure Security Monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM
• Excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful product delivery and support
