We need someone with a Microsoft tech-stack background who has experience as an Azure DevSecOps Consultant or a strong Unix / Linux Systems Administrator. We want someone with a development / coding background who has transitioned into Software Security / Cloud Security engineering. Strong Azure skills are essential; AWS experience is acceptable but not preferred.

We prefer candidates from a development background rather than traditional IT operations, with solid software development experience. You will mainly work with developers and should be able to speak their language and build trust.

This role was successfully introduced into the company 2 years ago, and they need someone to continue developing the function. You will work with cross-functional teams, so strong communication skills are necessary. There will be opportunities for growth, including leading a team as the company matures. This is a hands-on, lead role, ideal for someone with consultancy experience and practical skills.

A passion for modern security approaches is paramount. You will help teams integrate security into their daily workflows, focusing on automation, streamlining, and shifting security left without compromising quality or security.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator, Software Developer, or both
• Expert knowledge of Cloud Security
• Passion for DevSecOps with experience in Terraform, Bicep, SonarCloud, Wiz, and security tools like Trivy
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
• Ability to perform Rapid Risk Assessment and Threat Modeling
• Technical skills in Azure Security Monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM
• Excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful product delivery and support
