Job summary

ABB UK is seeking a technically capable professional to support the Sales organisation and customers in determining the most suitable solutions for earthing, lightning, cable protection, and connectivity systems. In this hybrid Coventry-based role you’ll prepare technical descriptions and engage with customers and internal sales teams to drive value.

You will work with English communication, hold electrical engineering knowledge, and prefer a degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing technical solutions for electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of earthing, lightning protection and cable management.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on enquiries for customers, channels and Sales Engineers.
• Support meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers.

Technical Support Manager

Job Summary

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organisation and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology.

This role is contributing to the Installation Products Division in the UK Electrification Business Area, specifically around earthing and lightning, cable protection systems, wire and cable management and connectivity solutions.

Main stakeholders you will engage with will be ABB Electrification’s customers and supporting our local external sales teams.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

• Work model: Hybrid from our Coventry office (min 2 days in the office)
• Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB’s products/systems/applications.
• Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
• Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs; and proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.
• Delivering product and solution related training; and supporting the managers in preparing and validating the technical articles to publish.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in offering technical support with earthing and lightning, cable protection systems, wire and cable management and connectivity solutions.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Electrical standards
• You are passionate about providing a first-class experience to the customer
• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and have a demonstrated track record in providing technical solutions
• You are at ease communicating in English
• You hold a current driving licence valid in the UK
