Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a dynamic Field Sales professional to join GAP Pump & Power Services in Bury St Edmunds. You will drive hire revenue from major accounts and win new business, delivering high-impact presentations to senior stakeholders and participating in depot and trade days to showcase our pump and power solutions.

The role requires engaging with GAP Group networks, including Regional Sales Managers, and promoting opportunities across our service divisions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a field sales role within the Hire industry is essential.
• Knowledge of Pumps, Power or Water Treatment is beneficial but training will be provided.
• Proven track record in exceeding sales targets and generating revenue from existing and new business.
• Exceptional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

The Role:

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maximising Pump & Power Services hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customers and winning new business. This will include delivering sales presentations to customers at a senior management level and attending depot/customer trade days to promote our product offering.

The role will also involve working with various stakeholders across the GAP Group network including Regional Sales Managers and their sales teams, to ensure pro-active promotion of hire opportunities for Pump & Power equipment within their existing customer base.

Please note, this role will be responsible for driving revenue for our Bury St Edmunds depot and so the successful candidate should be suitably located.

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Significant experience working in an field sales role within the Hire industry is essential
• Knowledge of Pumps, Power or Water Treatment would be highly beneficial but training will be provided.
• A proven track record in exceeding sales targets and generating revenue growth by maximising opportunities from existing customers and winning new business
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• An effective negotiator and problem solver with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload
• Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word, and CRM systems
• Driving Licence (Essential)
