Crendon Timber Engineering is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for our Washington branch. You will grow and maintain branch sales across merchants, local developers and self-build markets, while producing estimates and supporting the wider region with technical expertise.

The role requires strong communication skills, a customer‑focused mindset and the ability to travel as needed. Join a team dedicated to high standards of service and continued growth in timber engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full and clean driving licence; willingness to travel.
• Team player with the ability to work in an open office and meet deadlines.
• Experience with MS Office 365; MiTek PAMIR preferred.
• Sales/estimating experience in merchant/building supply is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers in person and over the phone to build relationships and provide high levels of service.
• Organise site visits to generate enquiries; typically out of the office ~2 days/week; remaining days are office-based for quotations and order negotiation.
• Interpret customer requirements and provide efficient, professional estimates aligned with KPI cost targets.
• Advise customers on product availability, delivery dates, transport schedules and lead times with accuracy.
• Proactively chase sales leads and opportunities in line with sales ledgers and KPI targets.
