Job summary

Sustainable Infrastructure in Totnes, Devon seeks an experienced Sales Manager to drive commercial growth, develop key customer relationships and secure new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Managing Director and operations teams to meet revenue and margin targets while representing the business at industry events.

This hands-on role requires a proven track record in technical sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to travel regularly across the UK and overseas

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Sales Manager or senior sales role, ideally within a technical, industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record in new business development and account management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, margins and sales performance.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets.
• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across target markets and sectors.
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships and key accounts.
• Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals and tenders in line with pricing policy.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
• Provide regular sales performance reporting and forecasting to the Managing Director.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events.
• Travel elsewhere in the UK and occasionally overseas, as required.
• Work closely with Operations, Technical and Finance teams to ensure customer commitments are delivered.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines and customer information.
• Comply with company health and safety requirements when working on customer sites.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, customer and supplier information.
