Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Sales Executive located in Manchester. The Technical Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and targeting potential clients, presenting and demonstrating Cellerate's lab automation solutions, and closing sales deals. Day-to-day tasks will include building relationships with new clients, collaborating with the technical team to address customer needs, and providing feedback for product development. The role also involves preparing sales reports, meeting sales targets, and attending industry events and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the entire sales process – from identifying and pursuing new opportunities to closing high value deals – with a focus on hitting ambitious annual targets (£1,000,000 to £2,000,000 in sales).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Visit customer labs to deliver tailored product demonstrations and consultative sales presentations.
  • Travel internationally to Europe, North America, and beyond (up to one week per month) to meet clients, attend trade shows, and grow the company’s global presence.
  • Leverage technical aptitude to understand customer needs and communicate solutions effectively.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in technical sales is essential. Experience selling adjacent technical products, such as laboratory or medical equipment, or chemicals, is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant physical science (e.g., Chemistry, Materials Science) is strongly preferred.
  • Technical aptitude to understand our products and customer needs is important; in-depth technical knowledge will be supported by our team.
