Job summary

Shillito Group is seeking a Technical Engineer on behalf of a client to grow their customer base and increase sales within it, while proactively generating new business opportunities.

You will lead from enquiry to delivery, manage quotes, and provide technical advice. The role requires strong maths/English, CAD ability, and experience in technical sales. 32 days holiday and a pension scheme are included.

Qualifications

• Good maths and English skills required.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• CAD experience and ability to read technical drawings is necessary.
• Understanding of metal specifications and experience with cutting methods is useful.
• Previous experience in Technical Sales Engineer role preferred.
• AutoCAD knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to customer email enquiries.
• Support and solve customer queries and challenges at every opportunity.
• Build quotes and progress orders based on customer requirements.
• Provide technical advice and make changes to drawings to fit customer needs.
• Maintain a high level of service and reliability in all customer contacts.
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships.
• Proactively seek new business opportunities and convert them into orders.
