Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a leading British Manufacturer within the Materials Handling sector, based in Stourbridge. The role involves handling technical sales enquiries, providing commercial and technical support, and producing accurate quotes.

You will manage enquiries, build strong customer relationships, develop solutions with engineering/production teams, create CAD drawings, and visit sites as needed. Office-based, permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Sales role.
• Proficiency in CAD with the ability to create and amend technical drawings.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
• Experience within engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming enquiries and convert leads to sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
• Work closely with the engineering and production teams to develop customer solutions.
• Create and modify technical drawings and layouts using CAD.
• Manage, understand and interpret customer requirements.
• Follow up quotations in a timely manner to secure profitable orders.
• Maintain expert level of product knowledge and applications.
• Provide pre-sales technical expertise both mechanical and electrical and product education to new and existing customers.
• Ensure orders are processed quickly and that clear and accurate information allowing for design and manufacturing is passed to the relevant department.
• Ensuring that customers are kept informed of order (contract) status and that any issues are resolved quickly.
• Maintaining accurate up-to-date records of enquiries, quotations, orders and customer activity via Sage CRM.
• Pursue new business opportunities.
• Occasional site and customer visits.

Our client is a leading British Manufacturer within the Materials Handling sector. Currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer.

Salary: £36,000-£39,000

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Stourbridge (Office Based)

Hours of work: 7:30am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 1.00pm on Fridays.

Job Overview
