With a reputation for technical excellence and customer-centric service, they are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Engineer to join their growing team.
Role Overview:
The Technical Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and commercial success. Working closely with both the engineering and sales departments, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
The main role is to grow sales through direct interaction with existing customers and equally seeking out new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own account base and customers, building relationships within them, and ensuring every order placed is to the highest standard.
This will include:
• Answer incoming sales calls
• Monitor and respond to customer email enquiries
• Support and problem solve customer queries/challenges at every opportunity
• Build quotes and progress orders dependent on customer requirements
• Maintain a high level of service and reliability throughout all customer contact
• Maintain and grow current customer relationships
• Proactively seek out new business opportunities and convert into orders
• Ultimately, a willingness to learn new skills is required as full training will be given to suitable candidates.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background, ideally with a degree or HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field), coupled with a proven track record in technical sales or customer-facing roles within an engineering environment.
Strong technical aptitude
Good Maths and English skills, be computer literate with experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and compelling way.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
