Technical Sales Engineer – Drive Technology & Automation

Location: Remote

Territory: UK

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Technical Sales Engineer to develop business acrossthe UK, with a focus on industrial automation and drive technology. You’ll lead new business development, providing tailored solutions to OEMs and end users by combining deep technical expertise with a strong hunter mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales across the UK region within drive technology and motion control markets.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities with OEMs, end users, and machine builders.
• Design and calculate asynchronous and synchronous drive systems based on customer applications.
• Promote a portfolio of products including frequency converters, servo drives, and geared motors.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure delivery of customised solutions.
• Attend customer visits, site audits, and industry events to build client relationships and market awareness.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales of drive technology and/or industrial automation.
• Expertise in frequency converters, servo drives, and electric motors.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and consultative sales skills.
• Engineering or technical background in Mechatronics, Electronics, or similar.
