Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Stanmore, Middlesex, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to bridge engineering expertise with sales. You will learn the machinery range, provide technical support to customers via phone and email, and demonstrate equipment to both existing and prospective clients.

The role includes diagnosing technical issues, presenting in the showroom, and negotiating pricing while building long-term relationships. Occasional UK travel is required as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Background in Manufacturing or Engineering
• Degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles in machinery
• Able to learn technical products and convey complex info clearly
• Experience with industrial machinery is advantageous
• Sales or business development experience is beneficial but not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Must live within commuting distance of Stanmore, Middlesex and travel occasionally

Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Stanmore, Middlesex
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 + bonus DOE
Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Our client is a specialist supplier of bespoke Manufacturing machinery into production and FMCG environments. As a small, growing business, they are looking to expand their sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Manufacturing or Engineering background to develop their technical knowledge, build customer relationships and grow within a developing business.

This role would suit an engineer looking to move into technical sales, or someone with existing technical sales experience.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Overview

Technical Sales Engineer Position Requirements

• A background in Manufacturing or Engineering, gained through professional experience or education.
• Ideally, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Able to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and machinery with moving parts.
• Able to learn technical products and communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience with industrial machinery or manufacturing equipment would be advantageous.
• Previous sales or business development experience is beneficial but not essential.A proactive attitude, with an interest in developing commercial and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Stanmore, Middlesex, and be happy to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Package

• Salary of 30,000 - 40,000, depending on experience.
• Company bonus on top of salary.
• 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays.
