Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth is seeking a proactive Technical Sales Advisor to promote products, prepare quotations and support customers throughout the sales process.

You will work closely with customers, Regional Sales Managers and the technical team to understand requirements and help convert enquiries into orders. This temp-to-perm role offers Monday to Friday hours, £13.25 per hour, weekly pay and a straightforward path to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience is beneficial, but attitude and willingness to learn are important.
• Excellent telephone and email communication skills.
• Confident on the telephone and able to build professional relationships.
• Organised with good record-keeping.

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Advisor on behalf of a well-established business in Tamworth

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic individual who enjoys speaking with customers, building relationships and developing sales opportunities.

Previous sales experience would be beneficial, but attitude, drive and a willingness to learn are equally important. The role would suit someone earlier in their sales career who is confident on the telephone, organised and has a genuine appetite to learn and progress within a growing business.

The Role

As a Technical Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for promoting suitable products, preparing quotations and supporting customers throughout the sales process.

You will work closely with customers, Regional Sales Managers, the technical team and internal and external sales teams to understand requirements, provide accurate information and help convert enquiries into orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers via telephone and email to understand their requirements and build strong relationships.
• Generate accurate quotations for a range of products.
• Return quotations to customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow up quotations proactively and work to secure orders.
• Liaise with the assigned Regional Sales Manager regarding quotation follow-ups and sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and project records within the CRM system.
• Present key technical and product information to help customers make informed decisions.
• Ask questions to understand customer requirements and identify suitable solutions.
• Take ownership of enquiries from initial contact through to order.
• Participate in sales meetings and ongoing training.
• Keep up to date with relevant product information, rules and regulations.
• Support the wider team with general duties and any other responsibilities required by the business.

The Person

We're looking for someone who is customer-focused, proactive and commercially minded, with the confidence to pick up the phone and build relationships.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in sales, technical sales, customer service or a similar role.
• Excellent telephone and email communication skills.
• Confidence speaking with customers and building professional relationships.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Good technical aptitude and an interest in learning new products.
• The ability to understand and communicate technical information clearly.
• A proactive approach to following up enquiries and quotations.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn and develop.

Previous sales experience is useful but not essential. The client is particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, drive and a genuine desire to win work and progress their career.

Working Hours & Pay

• Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00
• Friday: 07:30-16:00
• £13.25 per hour
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• Possibility of a permanent position after a successful trial period
