Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time

As the Technical Safety Engineer, you will:

• Be conversant in the following: Hazardous Area designation/classification, Major Accident Hazard, Hazard identification, Safety critical systems/elements in design and operation, Inherent Safety of area/plant/occupancy design, Safety Case, Control of Major Accidents reporting/documentation.
• Generate Deliverables, Safety Screening, Terms of Reference, Safety close-out reports, Action Tracking and close-out.
• Have knowledge and understanding of UK Safety Case Regulations 2015 for offshore installations, which is highly desirable.

Location: Aberdeen or Glasgow – hybrid working 3 days in the office with flexibility to work from home for 2 days.

About You

You’ll have experience of:

• Safety Engineering / Safety and Reliability experience (Energy Sector preferred but not essential) in delivery of Engineering projects.
• Production of Safety Engineering studies to support a holistic case for safety at plant/site/installation.
• Safety workshops (HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA/etc). Experience of facilitation of various Safety Reviews is desirable.

• BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Understand the application of Autodesk Design products.
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
• Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS/MIST preferable.
