Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a Technical Repairs Support Officer to join a busy Housing Repairs team in London. You will diagnose housing repair issues, allocate jobs to contractors, and keep records up to date.

The role is office-based in Ealing, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 3-month contract starting ASAP. Strong customer service and IT skills are essential to support residents and queries.

Qualifications

  • Experience diagnosing housing repair issues.
  • Experience working in contact centres or customer service roles.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information in a clear, concise way.
  • Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Experience using IT systems to manage cases or work orders.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in housing/ repairs/ local authority environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose housing repair issues through effective questioning and technical knowledge.
  • Raise, record and allocate repair jobs to contractors and technical teams.
  • Monitor repairs and contractor performance to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage work in progress and support repairs administration.
  • Maintain accurate records using housing management, IT and telephony systems.
  • Communicate with residents, provide updates and clear explanations of issues and processes.
  • Support complaint resolution and contribute to a high-quality customer experience.
  • Carry out data reconciliation and maintain accurate service records.

Technical Repairs Support Officer

Location: Ealing, W5 2HL (Full-time office based)

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £22.02 PAYE / £28.71 Umbrella

Contract: 3 months initially, with possible extension

Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Repairs Support Officer to join a busy Housing Repairs team within a London Local Authority. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with housing repairs knowledge, strong customer service skills, and contact centre experience to play a key role in supporting residents and coordinating responsive repair services.

The role is based on site in Ealing and involves providing a technically informed service to residents reporting housing repairs, accurately diagnosing repair issues, and ensuring repairs are allocated to the appropriate contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and identify housing repair issues through effective questioning and technical knowledge.

  • Monitor repairs and contractor performance to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.

  • Experience working within housing, repairs, property maintenance, local authority or contractor environments is highly desirable.
