Doorpac Limited manufacture and supply timber doors, doorsets and other joinery products to the UK’s leading construction developers and contractors. We operate nationwide, supplyingproducts mainly to the new buildsector, including hospitals, schools, hotels and residential developments.

We currently have a vacancy for a:

Technical & Quality Assistant

Main Duties:

• Produce manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD to a high standard
• Assist in the resolution of manufacturing problems
• Deal with internal & external queries relating to fire certification, quality systems, chain of custody etc
• Assist in the development of new and existing products, processes & services
• Assist with & carry out internal audits on all aspects of the company quality management & chain of custody systems
• Attend relevant certification / trade conferences

Skills:

• Good understanding of timber-based products
• Understanding of fire resistant products – preferably doors / doorsets
• Good understanding of manufacturing techniques used within the timber industry
• Good AutoCAD skills
• Good working knowledge of Autodesk Revit & Fusion 360 would be advantageous
• Familiar with the needs & requirements of quality management systems to ISO 9001:2015 preferably hold an internal auditor qualification
• Familiar with the needs & requirements of chain of custody systems to current FSC & PEFC standards
• Good eye for detail
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office. Particularly Word & Excel
• Good literacy & numeracy skills

Qualifications:

• Minimum C or equivalent in English & Maths at GCSE
• Qualification / experience AutoCAD or similar
• Qualification / experience in manufacturing
• Qualification / experience with quality management systems
