Job summary

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are seeking a Technical Publications Author to join our Flight Operations Technical team. You will produce, edit and publish operational manuals (FCOM, MEL, QRH) and ensure compliance with regulatory updates for pilots and operational staff.

You will review documentation from Airbus and Boeing, maintain version control, and work with specialists to keep manuals accurate and current. Hybrid role with Aviation operations context.

Qualifications

• Excellent written English, grammar and proofreading skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret complex technical information and present clearly.
• Strong organisational skills with multi-priority management.
• Proactive and collaborative with stakeholders at all levels.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in aviation or regulated industry; familiarity with UK CAA/EASA regulations; experience with XML authoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Producing, editing and publishing operational manuals such as the FCOM, MEL and QRH using specialist authoring software.
• Reviewing Airbus, Boeing and regulatory documentation and updating publications accordingly.
• Maintaining document quality, version control across a large suite of manuals.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and currency.

• Experience within aviation, technical publishing or another highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous, as would knowledge of commercial airline operations, familiarity with UK CAA and EASA regulations, and experience using XML authoring tools, document management systems or structured content publishing platforms.
