An opportunity has arisen in the transforming Technical Publications department within MBDA. The purpose of this role is to analyse, develop and deliver the Technical Publications for a complex portfolio of MBDA's products across the Land and Sea domains.
Salary: Between £40,000 and £46,000, depending on experience.
Hybrid working: We seek to accommodate a blended approach to on‑site and remote working (2‑3 days in the office a week).
Security clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. After offer, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG BPSS checks.

What we're looking for from you
- Authoring specialists to support and develop complex engineering descriptive and procedural documentation.
- Experience in technical authoring is essential. Use of SGML is required, but the ability to adapt to other formats of authorship is desirable.
- Familiarity with S1000D based authoring tools, awareness of BREX, CSDB environment and associated reports.
- Ability to work with a variety of different types of people, maintaining a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner.
- Provide technical expertise to ensure design teams have a clear understanding of the publication development, production and upkeep process.
- May be required to be involved in demonstration or process proving activities at an alternative MBDA site or the customer’s location, in the UK or overseas.
- Experience and working knowledge of the military environment for operation and maintenance technical publications are preferable but not essential.
- Liaise with product suppliers in support of technical publication technologies while maintaining personal and technical reports, records and all technical publication activities to a high standard.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
