Job summary

Wise Productions is seeking a technically accomplished Technical Project Manager to lead the design, planning, and on-site execution of our creative event productions in London and beyond. You will translate client briefs into robust technical solutions across lighting, audio, video, rigging, staging, and power, ensuring compliance with venue regulations and our quality standards.

Qualifications

• Broad working knowledge across lighting, audio, video, rigging, staging, and power with depth in at least one area.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, venues, and senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions-focused, able to manage changing priorities in real time.
• Skilled in planning, documentation, and coordination across multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Calm under pressure in live event environments.
• Solid understanding of relevant safety regulations including CDM and RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Translate client briefs and creative direction into practical, high-quality technical plans.
• Attend client meetings and planning calls, providing confident and clear technical guidance.
• Act as a responsive and professional point of contact for clients, venues, and partners throughout planning and delivery.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to scope infrastructure, rigging, power, and access requirements.
• Identify when specialist technical expertise is required and engage appropriate freelance expertise or internal specialists.
• Produce and maintain Vectorworks drawings, kit lists, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with partner equipment supplier to understand in-house kit capabilities and prioritize its use in designs.
• Plan ahead with supplier to confirm equipment availability and sub-hire needs.
• Maintain key project management systems with up-to-date information for planning and visibility.
• Brief crew and subcontractors clearly and oversee on-site delivery to ensure safety and venue expectations.
• Lead technical teams during install and live periods, troubleshooting issues calmly.
• Ensure sustainability, efficiency, and Wise Productions' quality standards throughout.
• Debrief projects with internal teams to support continuous improvement in technical delivery.
