Job description

Join our dynamic team to innovate and drive technology advancements, contributing to significant business growth and client success.

As a Technical Project Manager III in JPMorganChase Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Technology, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. You will apply a broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and delivery methodologies to plan and execute end-to‑end delivery, navigate ambiguity, and manage risk. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to align partners on objectives, governance, and outcomes across engineering, product, and business teams. You will also support delivery of initiatives across the data/AI/ML ecosystem, helping teams translate strategy into measurable execution.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project plans incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, dependencies, and timelines to deliver technology solutions on time.
  • Identify and mitigate risks by proactively addressing roadblocks, managing RAID items, and implementing contingency plans to maintain momentum.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders) to define scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables aligned to business goals.
  • Drive delivery governance including status reporting, executive-ready communications, decision logs, and escalation of impediments as needed.
  • Apply technical fluency to support solution planning, evaluate platform/tooling options, and coordinate with vendors and internal technology partners when applicable.
  • Enable Agile delivery by supporting team ceremonies, maintaining delivery transparency, and promoting continuous improvement through practical Agile practices and metrics.
  • Use delivery metrics and analytical reasoning (e.g., throughput, cycle time, aging work, defects, risks, dependencies) to assess performance, improve predictability, and optimize execution.
  • Support AI/ML and data initiatives by coordinating cross‑product and cross‑line‑of‑business stakeholders, clarifying requirements, and ensuring delivery plans reflect model/data dependencies and controls.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear problem statements, recommended actions, delivery plans, and risk assessments that are customer- and stakeholder-focused.
  • Use enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate planning and risk synthesis (e.g., drafting plans, RAID, and status narratives), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification on technical program management concepts and advanced applied experience in technical project/program management delivering complex technology initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into structured plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle, influencing decision makers, and adapting delivery plans as priorities and constraints evolve.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Broad technical fluency and comfort collaborating with engineers/architects; familiarity with modern platforms, tooling, and software delivery concepts.
  • Agile delivery mindset; experience working with Agile teams and delivery rituals; familiarity with tools such as Jira (and related reporting).
  • Experience creating and/or interpreting delivery metrics and dashboards for team and leadership reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to create clear status updates, governance materials, and escalation narratives.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise‑authorized AI tools responsibly to support TPM workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting initiatives in AI/ML, data platforms, or analytics ecosystems.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and software deployment/release practices.
  • Experience coordinating vendor deliverables and managing third‑party dependencies.
