Job summary

Whiteoak Associates in Reading seeks a Technical Project Manager to lead facade and structural steel projects from design through manufacture and delivery. This client-facing role requires coordinating complex, bespoke systems with designers, engineers and installers, ensuring buildability and timely delivery.

You will manage programmes, resolve technical issues, attend client meetings and site inspections, and contribute to value engineering and design optimisation across multiple projects.

Technical Project Manager- Facades & Structural Steel

£65,000-£120,000 + Bonus + Benefits | Reading | Predominantly Office Based

Technical Project Manager opportunity with a leading specialist in architectural glazing, structural steel, facades and balustrades, supplying bespoke systems to major UK residential contractors and developers. No one project is the same.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced engineering project professionals to manage multiple projects from design and engineering through to manufacture and delivery.

This is a technically focused, client-facing role involving:

• Design coordination and technical project management
• Assessing buildability and technical feasibility
• Value engineering and design optimisation
• Coordinating clients, designers, engineers, QSs and installation subcontractors
• Managing project programmes, technical issues and delivery
• Client meetings and occasional site inspections

Background

Candidates from Facades, Architectural Glazing, Structural Glazing, Structural Steel, Fenestration, Cladding, Architectural Metalwork, Metal Fabrication or Building Envelopes will be considered.

The key requirement is experience coordinating technically complex projects through design, engineering and manufacture, with a good understanding of installation and construction.
