Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source Ltd is seeking an Experienced Glazing Designer to design and develop aluminium glazing and façade systems in Kent, from concept to fabrication and installation. Immediate start with permanent contract and £50,000–£55,000 salary.

Hybrid work one day per week from home; standard hours 8:30–17:00, with longer-distance travel options. You will produce detailed design drawings, calculations, and schedules, using LogiKal and SchüCal, and coordinate with consultants,

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Glazing Designer role.
• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Structural Engineering.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Aluprof, Schüco, Reynaers and Technal systems.
• Experience using LogiKal and SchüCal for design outputs.
• Familiar with BIM environments and coordination processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aluminium glazing and façade systems from concept through to fabrication and installation.
• Produce detailed design drawings, calculations, and schedules in line with project and consultant requirements.
• Work with proprietary systems including Aluprof, Schüco, Reynaers, and Technal.
• Use LogiKal and SchüCal for design, technical outputs and material take-offs.
• Interpret and respond to façade consultant specifications, architectural drawings, and performance requirements.
• Specify glazing solutions including glass types, build-ups, coatings, and performance criteria.
• Ensure designs comply with Approved Documents, relevant BSI / British Standards, and project-specific regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, façade consultants, architects, contractors, and site teams, including supporting site queries and RFIs.
• Support value engineering, technical queries, design reviews, and site-related technical support.
• Maintain accurate and compliant design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend site surveys and project meetings as required to resolve technical issues.

Job description

A leading façade and glazing specialist contractor is currently looking for a permanent Experienced Glazing Designer to design and develop aluminium glazing and façade systems from concept through to fabrication and installation in Kent.

Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday) — 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM start available for those travelling longer distances
Hybrid Working: 1 day per week from home

Duties:

• Design and develop aluminium glazing and façade systems from concept through to fabrication and installation
• Produce detailed design drawings, calculations, and schedules in line with project and consultant requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Glazing Designer role
• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong working knowledge of Aluprof, Schüco, Reynaers, and Technal systems
• Proficient in LogiKal and SchüCal
• Demonstrable experience specifying glass and glazing solutions
• Sound knowledge of Approved Documents and relevant BSI / British Standards
• Experience with curtain walling, doors, windows, and complex façade interfaces
• Familiarity with BIM environments and coordination processes
• Strong technical detailing, problem-solving, and project coordination skills
